The Thrifty Streamer Take
What this means for your streaming budgetThis isn't the time to just accept the new rate card. Before you click 'Accept' on those price increase emails, take a hard look at what you are actually paying for. Are you paying for premium channels you haven't touched in months? If so, you are paying for dead weight. Instead, I highly recommend performing a "subscription audit." List every service you pay for and estimate how many times you actually use it in a month.
For massive savings, remember that the best approach is often rotation. Instead of maintaining five separate streaming services (Netflix, Max, Disney+, etc.), consider a rotating model. For example, subscribe to a major service for two months, binge its content, and then pause it and switch your focus to a different service the next two months. By being intentional about when you stream, you can drastically cut your monthly spend and keep your viewing habits diverse without the massive commitment of a single, expensive cable provider.
